Bashar Barakah (July 19, 1999 - Feb. 19, 2020) is professionally referred to under the pseudonym Pop Smoke was an American artist. Victor Victor Worldwide, Republic Records and Bashar Barakah Jackson were his recorded labels. Pop Smoke gained acclaim as a Brooklyn drill producer after collaborating with UK producer 808Melo Axl Beats & Yoz Beatz. In April of 2019, he dropped the single Welcome to the Party the first single from his debut mixtape Meet the Woo which was released in July, 2019. In August of this year Two remixes of the song the song Welcome to the Party featuring American rapper Nicki Minaj as well as British hip-hop artist Skepta are released. Pop Smoke's most popular song Welcome to the Party was released in April of 2019. The track is the initial single from his debut mixtape Meet the Woo. In the month of August, 2019 two remixes of the single were released. One remix was featuring Nicki Minaj while the second was a collaboration with Skepta. This song is notable for it's use of UK drills, which can be seen later in all of his discography. The collaborations between 808Melo and British drill producer 808Melo were the reason for this. Other well-known songs of his are Mpr Flexin and Dior. Following the popularity of Welcome to the Party and some other singles, like War featuring Lil Tjay & 100k On A Coupe with Calboy the duo began working together with other artists on songs. Gatti is the newest track of the JackBoys 2019 album, of which Scott and Cactus Jack are a part of.
